2. Make sure you get no less than 1-2 bars signal outside, the booster can't create signal. 

3. Note: 

The booster can't work alone, please use an indoor antenna and an outdoor antenna connect to the booster. So the booster can receive signal from outdoor antenna, boosts signal, and transmit to the indoor antenna, finally broadcasts signal to your devices. 

There should be a wall to separate the indoor and outdoor antennas, keep them 30ft distance and do not point at each other to avoid interference.
