**ABOUT EVO PRO WITH SMARTPHONE CAMERA APPLICATIONS**
The EVO PRO is capable of being used stand alone without the use of a special APP. For people that just want basic stabilization without the advanced functionality you can run ANY camera APP with the EVO PRO - The gimbal does NOT require the use of our recommended APPs in order to function (unlike DJI Osmo or other competitors).
We currently have 2 recommended APPs to use with the EVO PRO - FilMic PRO & ZY Play. Both APPs are compatible with iOS and Android devices, however it should be noted that full features on the FilMic PRO & ZY Play APP may be limited with some newer model Android phones like the Galaxy S9 due to manufacturer limitation of 3rd party APP integrations with their new camera hardware.

#1 FilMic PRO (14.99 SOLD SEPARATELY) - Compatible with iOS & Android. FilMic Pro is our #1 recommended filming app to shoot with using the EVO Pro. FilMic Pro gives you full control over you r smartphone's camera allowing you to easily set frame rate, resolution, aspect ratios and LOCK in your exposure and focus. Using the gimbal's menu buttons and camera controls you can adjust most video settings in the APP as well as smoothly control digital zoom and focus. This APP is available for both Android & iOS devices. Please note that photos & videos are saved in a separate folder within the APP by default.
#2 ZY PLAY (FREE) - compatible with iOS 9.0+ & Android 5.0+, provides full EVO PRO gimbal integration with an advanced photo & video feature set. This APP allows you to shoot automatic panoramas, 3x3 photo spheres, execute basic motion-time lapses, advance motion time-lapses with zoom/focus push/pull and basic object tracking. ZY Play APP menu can be controlled through the EVO PRO's menu buttons and selection wheel on the handle. Zoom and Focus can be controlled using the handwheel for precise adjustments. Please note that full feature set and camera resolutions may be limited with some Android devices.
Seamless zoom and focus pulls are now possible using the new integrated focus/zoom wheel. Actively switch between focus/zoom, Display parameters or quickly take a photo with the outer controls without having to touch your phone’s screen.

The EVO PRO can be adapted to work with most popular action cameras from GoPro, Garmin and more. Simply clamp the action camera in place where your phone would go or purchase our EVO Action Camera Adapter so you can see your GoPro’s screen.
Special Note - Some action cameras when set to "wide" field of view (FOV) settings may film the roll motor arm in corner of the video frame. To avoid this please set to your action camera's field of view settings medium or narrow. Alternatively you can shoot with handle in 'flashlight' or horizontal position to eliminate unwanted frame interference.
