Important: Plus size smartphones or smartphones equipped with aftermarket Moment or Moondog external lens systems require additional counterweight (search B07JQ182V1). Be sure to properly balance roll axis of your EVO SHIFT before powering on. Motors WILL turn off automatically (protection mode) if your gimbal is not properly balanced!

*Requires Android 5.0 or later. Please note that due to Android phone camera manufacturer variations & Android operating system compatibility that not all Android phones will have full features set in camera applications.
EVO SHIFT Smartphone Applications: The EVO SHIFT is capable of being used stand alone without the use of a special APP. For people that just want basic stabilization without the advanced functionality you can run ANY camera APP with the EVO SHIFT - The gimbal does NOT require the use of our recommended APPs in order to function (unlike DJI Osmo or other competitors).
We currently have 2 companion APPs bluetooth compatible with the EVO SHIFT - EVO Gimbals Remote APP & ZY Play. Both APPs are compatible with iOS and Android devices, however it should be noted that ZY Play has the latest updates for Android phones. Please note that some features may be limited with some newer model Android phones like the Galaxy S9 due to manufacturer limitation of 3rd party APP integrations with their new camera hardware. A GREAT alternative APP for capturing even more pro-quality like video is FilMic Pro - while it is not able to currently link with the EVO Shift, it is a great app for getting the best video and audio from your mobile phone.
What is the difference between this and Zhiyun Smooth Q?
Zhiyun is our technology partner. Our EVO SHIFT is manufactured in the same partner facility to our specifications - our team personally visits the factory several times each year to ensure quality and reliability. Both gimbals are compatible with the EVO Gimbals remote APP and the ZY Play app. All EVO Gimbals products are serviced and supported here in Bend Oregon USA by our trained local staff.
