Q1: Why does iSteady X beep and shut off automatically?

A1: The beeps and auto shut-off is the SELF-PROTECTIVE MECHANISM of iSteady X. There are TWO occasions when the gimbal will beep and shut off automatically.

(1). There's no device on the gimbal. When there's no device mounted on the gimbal, the motor will spin, resulting in disorders. Therefore, the gimbal will shut off automatically to protect motor;

(2). The three locks on three axes are locked. Please note that there are TWO modes of this gimbal, namely GIMBAL mode and SELFIE STICK mode. When all of the locks are locked, the gimbal will be changed into a selfie stick or a phone stand. This design is meant to keep the gimbal functional even when it's out of the battery. SOLUTION:

1. Make sure you have mounted the phone at the center of the phone clamp and clip your phone tightly. To avoid any seam between your phone and the clamp, it'll be better to take off your phone case If it is a soft silicone case.

2. Make sure ALL of the three locks are UNLOCKED before use. The first lock is on the connection between the handle and the motor. The second lock is behind the logo of X. The third lock is behind the phone clamp. Please unlock the three locks and mount your phone in the center of the clamp before turning on the gimbal.

Q2: When I turn on iSteady X for the first time, the Bluetooth indicator flashes in green and red alternatively but it will not turn on. Why?

A2: Please note that ACTIVATION is a must-to-do when iSteady X is used for the first time. Please follow the steps below to activate iSteady X in the app Hohem Pro.

(1). Mount your phone in the center of the clamp and make sure your phone is flattened to the clamp.

(2). Long press the function button. When it is turned on for the first time, it will enter a to-be-activated state and the Bluetooth indicator light will flash “red and green” alternately;

(3). Open the app and register your account by phone number or e-mail. Please choose the country code that your phone number belongs to.

(4). Connect Bluetooth in the APP and activate it. Turn on the phone's Bluetooth, open the APP, and connect to iSteady X. An activation prompt box will pop up. Click confirm and then the gimbal is activated successfully.

Q3: Why can’t I find iSteady X in the app when syncing?

A3: If you cannot find iSteady X in the app, please check whether the bluetooth indicator is on. If the indicator is on, it means isteady X has already been connected to another device. Please take iSteady X to another room where there's only your device. If the light is not on, please check whether your phone has connected to another device automatically, such as bluetooth earphones, apple watch, and so on. Try to clear your Bluetooth list and pair iSteady X in the app again.
